  • 80 gram brown Rice,
  • 425 gram canned beans of your choice, rinsed and drained
  • 2 Garlic cloves,
  • 110 gram Sweetcorn
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree,
  • 2 Garlic cloves,
  • 1 tbsp fresh or just a pinch of dried oregano,
  • 1 tbsp wholemeal flour,
  • Lettuce leaves,
  • 4-6 Split burger bans,
  • Tomato slices,
  • Cheese slices
  • Half a red onion

Perfect Burger Tips:


Allow burgers to rest 30 minutes to 1 hours so that flavors to penetrate in the burgers. Brush burgers with little oil before start cooking them so that they do not dry up while cooking. Use fresh and lean mince or ingredients. Make sure the burger sizes are even so that it can cook equally in the same time frame.

Step by Step

  1. Start cooking the brown rice in a small pan with salty water for 18 minutes or until it is cooked. After draining put it into a bowl for blender.
  2. Add, garlic, drained beans, onion, sweetcorn, tomato puree, oregano and blend them together. Add salt and pepper to your taste. 
  3. Shape the mix into burgers then dip them into the floor for coating. 
  4. On the preheat grill or barbecue, cook the burgers app. 6 minutes depending on your taste. If you brush the burgers with olive oil, they will not dry up during the cooking process.
  5. On the bottom of the split buns, put the tomato slices, lettuce leaves and onions, then put the cooked veggie burgers and a cheese slice. Add the buns and serve immediately.
